Middle School STEAM
STEAM class will be a hands-on experience. Each week students will be presented with materials and design challenges that incorporate different aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Students will be encouraged to think critically and creatively about
how to design and improve their projects. There will NO homework assigned to complete outside of class. Intended for grades 5-8.

Sewing (FULL)
Learn the basics of sewing from an experienced seamstress and veteran homeschool mom. Students will provide their own sewing machines and will learn how to operate them and care for them. Each class will include a new sewing project such as pot holders, pajama pants, pillows, scrunchies, etc... Intended for grades 2-8. Students should be at least 8 yrs old.

Elementary Robotics
RoboThink is a leading STEM, coding, robotics and engineering program nurturing kids across 23 countries to thousands of students each day. Our exciting themed STEM programs develops core STEM skills using robotics, engineering, and coding. Students will build a new robotics kit each week. If your child loves Legos or BattleBots, this is the class they need! Intended for grades 2-5.

Art
Art is about creativity and fun! Elementary students will explore different kinds of mediums, such as acrylics and watercolor, pastels, and more. We will work together in step by step instruction and create wonderful masterpieces every week! Intended for grades K-5.
Middle Schoolers will work with various mediums, such as acrylics and watercolor, pastels, etc, and learn about shading, object placement, perspective and more. We will also do some fun projects based on famous artists and art periods. Intended for grades 5-8.

Biztown (FULL)
JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. Textbook included in class fee. There will be occasional homework assigned to complete outside of class. Our scheduled date for the Biztown simulation is April 25th from 8-3. Intended for grades 4-8.

Elementary Spanish with Mundito Spanish
A fun introduction to Spanish language and culture for Elementary students. Class time will include music, games, and hands on activities.

Middle School Chemistry
Investigate the world of atoms, molecules, reactions, explosions, energy, and more through a lab-based exploration of chemistry. This class will focus on the major concepts underlying chemistry, including physical and chemical properties, the structure of simple and complex compounds, polarity, energy, and reactivity. Textbook included in class fee. There will be homework assigned to complete outside of class.

Elementary Animal Science (FULL)
Explore the animal kingdom - from worms and insects to birds and wolves. We will also delve into a different animal related profession each month and bring in guest speakers/animals as much as possible. We will also provide suggested book lists, videos, and activities you could continue at home as an extension of what we do in class. There will be no "homework," but we may have 1 or 2 projects to bring in and share with the class.

Group Beginner Guitar & Group Intermediate Guitar (FULL)
Nashville Guitar Academy is offering their group classes for homeschool kids. Their classes have a fast paced, song based, interactive approach to learning guitar. With their "Guitar is a Team Sport" mindset, they are the antithesis of the old music store approach! We will have 2 classes - beginner and intermediate.

PE
PE Class for elementary and middle school students that combines games and traditional exercises. We will stretch, run, and learn a variety of sports and games. The class is fun for all ages and levels.

Acting
Watch your child shine in a showcase made just for them! Students will create and write their own characters, monologues, and scenes! Students will be guided by our professional teachers and go through a journey learning about character creation, script writing, and essentials for good storytelling. By the end of the semester they will perform their original works for family and friends! This unique class is highly engaging whether you are a beginner or advanced student, and it will help students to reach new levels in creativity, community, and confidence. NOTE - registration for this class is handled through the Acting All Around website.
