Animal Shelter Field Trip

We will collect wish list items for the animals at the Williamson County Animal Center to donate and bring them with us when we come (exact items TBD).   The staff will take us on a tour of the facility so we can see the animals and how they care for them.   The WCAC allows children to read to cats through their Book Buddies program.  This helps the cats with socialization and increases their chances of being adopted.   The staff will give us their official "Book Buddies" training and all the kids will get a chance to read to some of the cats in the shelter at the moment in their "catios" (patios for cats!).  Bring your favorite book to read to a cat.
