Join us for an exciting and educational field trip to Bloomsbury Farm, where students will get a hands-on look at the world of organic farming! Located in Smyrna, Bloomsbury Farm is a working organic farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and healthy food production. The farm is both gap & organic certified, a reflection of their commitment to bring the highest quality & healthiest goods to our local community. They produce the finest sprouts & wheatgrass in Tennessee using organic seed & growing methods. Bloomsbury distributes their products to wholesale & retail locations, & you'll find them in local grocery stores, such as Produce Place & Turnip Truck, as well as many restaurants.

During this trip, students will:

• Tour the farm and explore its organic vegetable gardens and greenhouses

• Learn about the principles of organic farming, including composting, crop rotation, and natural pest control
