About the event

Join us for a day with the Cumberland River Compact exploring our waterways at Mill Creek Park!

11 AM - ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

Creek Critters shows your students what a healthy aquatic ecosystem looks like by bringing the creek to the classroom! Students explore biodiversity, food webs, adaptations, and more through interactive and hands-on activities. We bring preserved (and sometimes live!) samples to the classroom for students to see up close. This is our most popular program!

12 PM - Picnic Lunch and Play Time at the Playground @ Mill Creek Park

1 PM - MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Students will explore the connections between the natural and built environments around the park through a guided tour and stormwater audit. They will discuss the results that they found and propose potential solutions to issues at the park.

On Google Maps it shows the address as 12924 Old Hickory Blvd, Antioch, TN 37013 but that’ll likely take you to the historic farmhouse. You can use these coordinates: (36.0260965, -86.6147867) or just travel to Cane Ridge High School and it's the big park and playground across the street.
