About the event

**This event is limited to families currently enrolled in our Monday classes.**  To enrich their adventure of learning about local History, your students will be experiencing a day in a typical rural one room schoolhouse during the 1800s at Boiling Spring Academy. They will also be learning about the early inhabitants of the area-the Mississippian Era Native Americans.  The opportunity is sponsored by the Brentwood Historic Commission and Mick grant, so tickets are FREE.   This opportunity is available for grades K-5th.   Preference will be given to students enrolled in our Tennessee History class.

Location:

Primm Historic Park and Boiling Spring Academy is located at approximately 8400 Moores Lane East near the intersection with Wilson Pike, Brentwood. It is on the property owned by the City of Brentwood. Primm Historic Park contains two National Registry sites--The Boiling Spring Academy built in 1832 and used as a schoolhouse until the 1920s; and the Fewkes Mounds Site inhabited by Pre-historic Native Americans of the Mississippian Period (900-1450).
