About the event
The Nashville Parthenon is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece, located in Nashville's Centennial Park. Built for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition, it functions as a museum with a permanent art collection of American paintings, plaster casts of the original Parthenon Marbles, and temporary exhibitions. Inside, it houses Alan LeQuire's monumental 42-foot, gilded sculpture of Athena, the tallest indoor sculpture in the United States.
This is a great event for all ages, especially for our students who are studying ancient history this year. Join us for a guided tour of the Parthenon as we learn about Ancient Greece and Nashville history - all in the same day!
