Tennessee State Museum & State Capitol Tour

Our students have been studying Tennessee History this year, so we had to make a visit to the amazing Tennessee State Museum.  We will break into two groups - K-5 and 6-12 for this.   Their educators will lead us on a guided tour of some of the museum.   You will also have time to explore more of the museum on your own.   We will walk over to the Farmers Market next door for lunch and then head to the TN State Capitol after lunch for a guided tour there.

For Grades K-5th: Tennessee Longhunter (Costumed Program)

Some of the earliest explorers to make their way over the mountains and into the area that would become Tennessee were known as longhunters.  In this program, your students will discover why these men came into this area, how they survived in the wilderness, and what was their relationship with the Southeastern tribal nations…
