Volunteer at a Food Pantry (ELEMENTARY)

THIS EVENT IS DESIGNED FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.   STUDENTS MUST BE 6 OR OLDER TO ATTEND.   (If you have an elementary student and an older student as well, it is fine to bring both to this event.   Students must be accompanied by at least one parent to attend.)

We are collecting canned goods all throughout the month of November for Second Harvest, a food pantry in Nashville.   In addition, our students and families will have a chance to give back by volunteering there.    They need volunteers every day of the year to sort and pack food.   This is a very hands on activity and does involve some lifting.   The students will be given age appropriate tasks and will be busy the whole time.  It is hard work but also really fun.   Our students who went last year had a blast.
