We have enrichment classes for kids grades K-12. All classes are a la carte. Age ranges are flexible, so feel free to reach out if you think your child would be a good fit for a certain class.
Elementary
Sports Sampler
Got a kid that needs to move? Our sports sampler class is a fun introduction to a multitude of sports including soccer, baseball, and basketball. Each unit will include an introduction to the basic rules of the game and an opportunity to PLAY! This class will take place outside but will move inside in the event of heavy rain or snow.
Cost: $300 per semester
Fiber Arts
In this handwork class, students will learn many founda6onal skills for various fiber arts. Students will have the opportunity to learn hand sewing, knitting, crochet, spinning and weaving. We dive deep into each area so students can learn perseverance through each project and joy when a project is completed. Handwork encourages students to cross the midline of their bodies and visualize the steps to complete a project. This strengthens neuropathways, reinforces math skills, and provides opportuni6es for light medita6on or an “out breath” in the school day. Students are encouraged to use their own crea6vity, while we all might make the same project, each student’s work will be different from their neighbor’s.

Elementary Music K-3rd
In this class, students will learn the basics of the elements of music - rhythm, melody, dynamics, and early music theory - through a multi-sensory approach. We will dance, sing, craft, play rhythm instruments, and gain an appreciation for various musical styles from around the world while we play with these elements in a fun but structured manner.

Elementary Science K-3rd
Elementary Science class will explore the wonderful world of science and learn about different scientific concepts through hands-on activities, experiments, and discussions. We have 2 sections of K-3 Science this year...

Mathnasium Math Fun
This course will help your students discover the magic of Math. Students will get the opportunity to see how math works with our bodies, learn tricks to escape mazes, and become masters of geometry. They will also learn about the mathematical uses in art, and get to experiment with uses of cryptography and game theory. We are offering this class in 2 sections - K-2 and 3-5.
Cost: $300 per semester
Wilderness Survival
Designed for the kids who love being outside! This class will lay a foundation of survival skills including building a fire, using a compass, water filtration, and medical care.
Cost: $350 per semester
Biztown
JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. Textbook included in class fee. There will be occasional homework assigned to complete outside of class. Intended for grades 4-8. We will accept students in Grade 3 if they can add and subtract decimals. More info HERE.

Elementary Science 3rd-5th

Art
Young artists are invited to come imagine new concepts, explore various mediums, and to create original works of art! We will learn about a different artist and medium to create a new work of art each week. We have classes at 9 AM, 1 PM, and 2 PM.

Upper Elementary Music
3rd-5th
Learn basic music theory and expression in a fun way in our class for upper elementary. Units will cover beginning choral singing, recorder, and ukelele. Kids will learn how to play as a group and will perform a short concert for families at the end of the semester.

Book Club K-3rd: Picture Books
Our early elementary book club students will enjoy reading a new picture book each week and discussing some literary elements. The class will complete a fun activity paired with the book each week. This is a great way to encourage a love of reading and discussing favorite books with friends!

STEM K-3rd
Our elementary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) class is designed to introduce students in the early grades to the basic concepts of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The class typically focuses on hands-on, project-based learning, which allows students to engage in activities that explore the principles of STEM. Students will be given opportunities to work together in groups and use their creativity to solve problems. We have 2 sections of STEM this year - LEGO STEM with Brickeology and STEM with Your Senses.
Cost: $300 per semester
Theater
In this theatrical arts class students will work together to create their own original short play. Students will learn story structure, improv technique, develop characters, build props, and rehearse their play. By the end of the semester they will have engaged their imaginations, developed creative writing skills, built teamwork, and performed a brand new original play!

Archery
Welcome to our NASP-approved Beginning Archery program designed for home-schooled elementary students! During the 15-week program, students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of archery basics, covering safety, equipment, shooting form, and fundamental competition rules. Each session, which runs for an hour, will comprise both theoretical and practical instruction. This class will take place outside but will move inside in the event of heavy rain or snow. Beginner Archery is at 10 AM. Students with archery experience can jump into the current archery classes at 11 and 12 with instructor approval.

Tennessee History 3rd-5th
Learn about the history of the state of Tennessee from the first people to inhabit the land through modern times. This class will use interactive materials from the TN State Museum and we will also have special guests from historical sites in our area. Students will have the opportunity to present a project at the end of the class.

Private Music Lessons
We are excited to partner with Liberty Music Academy to offer private music instruction to our students. 30 minute lessons for voice, piano, guitar, bass, and drums are available.
Cost: $550 per semester
Sewing 3rd-5th
Learn the basics of sewing from an experienced seamstress and veteran homeschool mom. Students will provide their own sewing machines and will learn how to operate them and care for them. Each class will include a new sewing project such as pot holders, pajama pants, pillows, scrunchies, etc... Intended for grades 2 and up. Students should be at least 8 yrs old. If your child is elementary age and has never sewed before, we strongly encourage that you attend this class with them.

Book Club 3rd-5th:
Graphic Novels
Does your student love graphic novels? In this weekly class, we will read and discuss graphic novels. We will explore various plot elements and also discuss art and design choices that help tell the story through graphics. We will have a “book party” once a month to celebrate the book we read with some fun activities.
Cost: $300 per semester
Group Guitar
Nashville Guitar Academy is offering their group classes for homeschool kids. Their classes have a fast paced, song based, interactive approach to learning guitar. With their "Guitar is a Team Sport" mindset, they are the antithesis of the old music store approach! We will have 2 levels - beginner and intermediate. We have a few more spots in these classes, but students who join a class mid-year may need a few individual lessons with the instructor prior to January.
Cost: $350 per semester
Club Time
If you plan to drop off your student and would like for them to have a free period, we do offer "club time" where students will be supervised by a teacher. There will not be any required activities, but students will be able to spend time outside or play board game/do crafts inside and interact with friends. We will have a few things set out that students can engage with each week.

Spanish
A fun introduction to Spanish language and culture for Elementary students. Class time will include music, games, and hands on activities. We will have levels for K-3 and 3rd-5th.

STEM & Robotics 3rd-5th - (WAITLIST)
Tennessee Robotics Center is leading our STEM education for 3rd-5th graders this year. Our STEM class will include robotics, drones, coding, and 3-D printing.

Entrepreneurship (FALL)
3rd-5th
Entrepreneurship is the perfect class for your budding business owner. Through the lens of their own ideas, students will develop businesses to help solve real-world problems. Through lecture, hands-on activities, collaboration and discussion, students will learn basic business vocabulary, ideate, and work together to create their very own company. The series will culminate with a "business fair" showcasing the student’s creations for fellow classmates, friends, and family!

Middle School/High School
Book Club
The perfect class for book lovers! Throughout the course, we will read fiction books in various genres and discuss literary themes such as character development, plot structure, and literary devices. We will have engaging discussions about the books we read, sharing our opinions and insights with each other. Our goal is to create a fun and inclusive learning environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. By the end of this class, students will have developed stronger reading comprehension skills, enhanced their critical thinking abilities, and gained a deeper appreciation for literature.

Dungeons & Dragons Club
Imaginations ignite in a world of adventure and friendship. Dungeons & Dragons is a game that encourages imaginative storytelling, creative problem-solving, and teamwork. Students will learn about this wildly popular game, themselves and others as they play face to face in a creative, social atmosphere. Players will fine tune socal skills like assertive communication, reading nonverbal cues, conflict resolution, identity exploration, self-esteem development and more. For beginners and all skill levels ages 10-17

Middle School Science
6th-8th
Middle School Science students will receive a broad overview of all the branches of science. Units will include scientific method, life sciences, human anatomy and physiology, earth/space sciences, chemistry and physics.

Environmental Science
8th-12th
This course introduces fundamental ecological concepts and explores the interactions between all living things, including humans, and our environment. Students learn about the biosphere, major biomes, ecosystems, chemical cycles, and the role of living things in ecosystems. In addition to learning about environmental problems, students explore practical alternatives for protecting the environment and moving toward a sustainable future. Students are encouraged to think deeply about the issues discussed and their responsibilities as citizens of the Earth.

Cooking
Learn the basics of culinary in this course. We’ll cover how to measure,
read and follow recipes, safety and sanitation, and knife skills. We’ll
investigate where the nutrition is in food and how our body uses it. Food
labs and demonstrations will focus on: quick breads, pasta, rice, ancient
grains, salads, vegetables, eggs, milk, and cookies. A final meal using
learned material will also be prepared.

Photography
The goal of this class is to help you create amazing photographs and
understand the fundamentals of photography. Throughout the course you
will refine your photographic eye through practice and critique of your
work and the work of others. We will cover: the exposure triangle,
elements and principles of design and composition, camera basics, lenses,
lighting, posing, computer enhancements to photography, and different
types of photography. Any digital camera, including iPhones and iPads,
can be used to fulfill the class assignments.

Our upper level art class will explore various art forms and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Units will include:
Street Art Tags
Students will discover the whimsical graffiti style and design a street art "Tag" of their own. Students will learn about the history of graffiti and various artists of the artform while they utilize canvas panels, paint markers, stencils and spray paint to express themselves safely using this bright, interesting, and tabo artform.
Hero Factory - Sculpting
You decide who owns the day and rules the night as you design, draw, sculpt and paint your own comic and fantasy style heroes and villains. Students will utilize armichure, clay, and acrylic paint while covering the subjects of gesture, anatomy, character design sculpting and painting.

Digital Art
Ever wonder how the art masters and professional artists create mind-boggling digital art? In this class you will equip yourself with digital art skills to take your art to the next level. Students will be required to have a laptop or tablet they can bring to class. Students will also need a subscription to Adobe for the duration of the class.

Spanish
Spanish is designed to give the novice second-language student a taste of the Spanish speaking world, while making the language accessible and comprehensible. Students will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure through listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. The goal of the course is to give students a foundation in Spanish language and culture, and to prepare them for further study of the language. Assignments will be provided for students to work on outside of class to meet the hours requirement for a foreign language class for high school.
